Many parents carry a quiet worry when they consider therapy: Does this mean something is wrong with my child?
It’s an understandable fear—and one that deserves to be addressed honestly. Pediatric therapy isn’t about fixing children. It’s about supporting them. It’s about helping their bodies, communication systems, and daily routines work more smoothly so they can participate more fully in their lives. Children don’t come to therapy because they’ve failed. They come because they’re growing—and sometimes growth requires support. Progress often looks subtle at first. Less frustration. More confidence. A willingness to try. Over time, those changes add up in powerful ways. If therapy is on your mind, it doesn’t mean you’re labeling your child. It means you’re paying attention.
